I think you mean to die alone! Well it won’t work! I won’t live a single day in this world after you! You shouldn’t have run away, no, you should have sent me a message the moment the serpent struck, bidding me come and join you in your plight – a trouble shared is a trouble halved. First Continuation of Perceval

Acting in Tandem

If multiple player characters are acting together, you can assemble the dice pool based on the Skills and Reputations and Advantage from any of the characters involved1.

As a consequence, all the characters involved  take Doubt and gain Fame and similar effects of the roll, though only one may invoke Inspiration and only they take Turmoil or Madness and only one takes the Doom.

Supporting

If the other characters are taking a more indirect role, they may instead support by helping set up Fame etc. for them. You can always spend Fame and Riches to create Advantage from your own Motifs for someone else’s roll if they can benefit from it narratively (borrowing your weapon, using your reputation as a shield, etc.).

Footnotes

  1. But still only get one skill, one reputation, etc. This doesn’t get you more benefits, but it may help characters use their strengths to fill in for other weaknesses.
